For years the LYSAGHT® steel range of roof and wall cladding, rainwater goods, fencing and home improvements has offered designers and homeowners a fashionable suite of COLORBOND® steel colour choices, allowing them to create and tailor designs to meet their visions.
As part of a regular review process to stay abreast of the latest design movements and building trends, the COLORBOND® steel colour palette has been refreshed, with a number of exciting new colours being announced. In selecting the latest colours, BlueScope In selecting the latest colours, BlueScope – the manufacturers of COLORBOND® steel – worked closely with design consultants and external stakeholders, while also considering customer feedback and audits of the COLORBOND® steel colour range.
As well as evaluating the aesthetics of each colour as a standalone, the review took into account how existing and prospective colours complemented other building materials, contributing to overall project effect. The new additions to the colour range will be available across the LYSAGHT® roofing, walling, fencing, and rainwater segments, giving users the inspiration to build better. Several existing colours have also been retired to make way for the additions.
NEW ADDITIONS – ROOFING, WALLING, AND RAINWATER GOODS
Dover White™ is a bright white colour inspired by the chalky sands, glistening ghost gum bark and pristine alpine snow. Endlessly compatible, this bright white unifies a tonal scheme or brings fresh contrast to darker colours where needed. Southerly® is a cool grey reminiscent of distant hills, coastal shorelines and the inviting coolness of a southerly change after a hot day. It is a cool grey, with its pale tones providing abundant possibilities across a range of designs and applications.
Bluegum® is a relaxed grey indicative of cool horizons, morning mists and shades of mountain gums. Its calming mid tones allow it to work comfortably in both rural and urban settings, coordinating easily with dark timbers and naturally honed stone finishes. Bluegum® will be available in both standard and matt finishes. Making way for these new colours are Cove®, Mangrove® and Terrain®, which will be moved to a secondary range and remain available via enquiry.
NEW ADDITIONS – FENCING
Wollemi® offers a rich and robust green colour with a hint of blue to deliver a nurturing and sophisticated tone. The colour will suit a range of fencing styles in traditional and contemporary homes, either receding or bringing bold contrast depending on its surroundings.
Bluegum®, as described earlier, shows its versatility by also being added to the standard fencing colour range, providing a neutral backdrop that will allow it to blend seamlessly with any Aussie home. Jasper® and Loft® have been moved to the secondary range but will still be available via enquiry, and as part of the refresh, Shale Grey® will now form part of the standard COLORBOND® steel range.
