The quarter that was for Carpentry Australia

Carpentry Australia

It’s been a busy quarter in the world of carpentry, writes Carpentry Australia Sales and Development Coordinator Nathan Quinn.

CARPENTRY AUSTRALIA (CA) represented our members along with the 27,000 attendees at the WorldSkills event in Melbourne.

WorldSkills showcases Australia’s best in vocational education and careers.

The CA team flew the carpentry industry flag advocating for the next generation of Australian carpenters. In August, 250 apprentices from Holmesglen TAFE’s Building and Construction trade embraced their free membership with CA, Affording each apprentice further development opportunities and their own CA portal profile.

These CA monthly member events run across various locations in Victoria and NSW (Queensland soon to come) and are an important foundation for connection and companionship.

Furthermore, over 50 per cent of apprentice cancellations are attributed to mental health issues.
