DEWALT takes over Vegas as tradies surge to electric tools

Dewalt electric tools

DEWALT took over Las Vegas last week for World of Concrete, and revealed more tradies than ever are loving the switch the electric tools.

As well as making an impression on tradies, DEWALT also had its branding glow-up the Vegas skyline on its world-famous Sphere.

DEWALT’s Power Pulse Survey found more than 3/4 of Vegas tradies who use electric-powered tools get their jobs done 2-3x faster.
Of those surveyed, 91 per cent said they were ready to transition to a fully electric worksite.

“As we kick off DEWALT’s 100th anniversary year, our guiding principle of making pros more productive holds strong with the launch of DEWALT POWERSHIFT™,” Stanley Black & Decker Power Tools Group President Frank Mannarino said.
“DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ is launching at a time when the industry is increasingly preparing for electrification, particularly as construction sites respond to statewide legislation aimed at phasing out gas-powered tools.
“As part of this effort, DEWALT is providing a solution that electrifies the concrete workflow to maximise cost and time savings, while minimising the environmental impact for the user. These user advantages are paramount to innovating in accordance with our purpose to empower Those Who Make the World.”

Finger on the pulse

The Power Pulse Survey also found that 51 per cent of tradies in Las Vegas had experienced breakdowns with gas-powered tools in the last few months.
Participant tradies also cited safety (34 per cent), ease of use (32 per cent) and reduced emissions in the environment (30 per cent) as the most significant benefits of using electric-powered tools over gas-powered tools.
Constant physical strain from using heavy equipment on the worksite was one of the biggest stressors for participates (42 per cent).
