Winter has begun to sink her claws in yet Milwaukee has the answer to cold mornings on site struggling with numb fingers and low productivity. The new range of Milwuakee M12 cordless heated jackets means warmth is literally at your fingertips. The 12v jackets have five carbon fibre heating elements sewn into the fleece inner liner that are powered by a push-button switch on the lapel. There are three heat settings (high, medium and low) and the battery connector also had a USB charger and fuel gauge. One charge of a 1.5Ah battery provides up to six hours of continuous heating while the water and wind resistant outer shell is available in four colours: red, black, camo and high vis. The jacket is part of 40+ tools in the 12v range – including the impressive FUEL models tested on page 48. The Milwaukee Cordless Heated Jacket retails for $199 from L&H or Total Tools. Cold doesn’t have a chance.
