Kawasaki Jet Ski Sx-R Whitewash

Reiterer and his SX-R won every race at the international event held at Lions Park, Eleebana, NSW.

Kevin Reiterer took the outright win at the 2018 WSM Performance Parts AJSBA Australian Water cross Championship in June.

Not only did Reiterer take overall honours, he did it by winning every race at the international event held at Lions Park, Eleebana, NSW.

Reiterer’s Kawasaki Jet Ski SX- R, prepared by Newcastle Jet Ski Centre, took him to clear victories, besting riders from Austria, Cambodia and New Zealand, as well as riders from across Australia, in the Pro GP class.

The racing consisted of a four-moto format over two days, with timed 10-minute-plus- one-lap motos, where both riders and machines were required to show a high level of endurance and reliability.

Onlookers were entertained with back- to-back wins by world-champion rider Kevin Reiterer, and with his teammates filling the remaining podium steps it showed what the stock Kawasaki Jet Ski SX-R could do against other highly modified PWCs in the field.

Tougher weather conditions on the second day meant the riders came out of the gates with average starts for the third race, but as the laps rolled on the cream rose to the top and the Kawaskai riders claimed the day.

The final race was hair-raising as Kevin came from behind to take the lead on the second-last lap and seal a perfect score and a win in each moto. Team Manager Mark Perlowski said, “With the Kawasaki Jet Ski SX-R taking the overall win and podium places, its versatility and on-track capabilities have proven it to be the number one Jet Ski!”

UNPRECEDENTED RIDING EXPERIENCE

As the pioneer of personal watercraft and the creator of the original mass- produced stand-up model, Kawasaki’s JET SKI SX-R is sure to redefine the standard for stand-up power and handling. Powered by a 1498cm³ four-stroke in-line four, the SX-R has twice the power of its two-stroke predecessor and a broad spread of power that delivers strong acceleration from any RPM. A newly designed hull allows riders to use their whole body to control this exciting new model. The combination of big, yet manageable, power and agile, rider-active handling offers a wide range of riders an unprecedented riding experience.
