WTW reveals team Peugeot’s new secret weapon

The annual Dakar, organised by the by the Amuary Sport Organisation, is the world’s most revered off-road rally race which sees amateur and professional competitors race distances of 800-900 kilometres (500-560mi) per day.

Since its inception in 1978, most races were from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal, but due to Mauritania, which led to the cancellation of the 2008 rally, the 2009 Dakar Rally was run in South America (Argentina and Chile).

In January 2016, following the decision of Peru to withdraw, the Dakar has come up with an alternate 13 day route through Argentina and Bolivia; and taking the challenge will be the greatest rally driver ever, Sébastien Loeb, when he lines up as part of Peugeot’s 2008DKR dream team that includes team mates Stéphane Peterhansel and Cyril Despres.
