At the National 4×4 & Outdoors Show in Brisbane this weekend, 23-25 March, visitors will be able to
get up close to BFGoodrich’s most popular tyres: All Terrain T/AKO, Mud Terrain T/AKM2 and the
newest member of the family, the BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A.
Launched late 2011, the BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A tyre is designed for 4×4 and sport utility
vehicle drivers. It offers them aggressive off-road looks combined with low rolling resistance, reduced
noise and all season traction.
This tyre is classified as a part of the “hybrid” tyre category; it is a tyre with off-road looks and a
smooth ride on-road. As BFGoodrich Tires continues to push the limits in both off-road and on-road
performance categories, this category has continued to grow and evolve.
Tyre experts from BFGoodrich will be at the show all weekend to talk you through the difference and
help you find the tyre to perfectly match your needs.
Visitors to the show will also have an opportunity to see Michael and Wayne Smith’s Range Rover.
The vehicle is a 1980 model, with a 1996 Discovery Chassis powered by a 4lt supercharged RR
engine with Motec engine management. Also attached are 24V & a 12V alternators and an engine
driven compressor for inflation.
Michael and Wayne Smith have owned the Range Rover since 1984 and have been competing with
this vehicle for 23 years. They have taken part in everything from club events, outback touring, mud
racing and extreme 4WD activities.
While you are there you will be invited to complete a short survey about your 4×4 experiences and the
equipment you use. By doing this you will go into the draw to win a Yamaha PDX-11 speaker dock in
a daily draw.
Unlike most speaker docks on the market, this dock is built tough like BFGoodrich tyres and will go
wherever you and your 4×4 go.
The prize draw will take place a 4.30pm each day.
